Welcome to my website! My name is Kait, I have worked as a professional photographer since 2013. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting amazing people and trying so many new experiences through the work I do. I received my first DSLR camera from my artist father after he passed away from colon cancer. I started my “professional career” shortly after, taking $10 friend portraits at my high school to try to raise money for cancer research foundations. From there, people kept asking me to take their photos of their families and events ever since! I love documenting the human experience, which has set my course into becoming a photojournalist and events photographer. My style is mainly being the fly on the wall of events to be able to document the space as authentically as possible! I’ve worked for notable companies and had my work published through the LA Times, NPR, The Chicago Reader, and many local news outlets throughout the West Coast. I am driven by the desire to learn more about the world around me and all the people I meet along the way! I am approachable and will blend into any environment I am thrown into.
